Box Score The Lindenwood baseball team dropped a home game to the Southwest Baptist Bearcats 5-3 on Tuesday night at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
The Bearcats got on the scoreboard first in the top of the opening inning with a single tally. Lindenwood answered right back in the second inning after
Mike Wilson hit a RBI double to tie the score.
The visitors took a two-run lead in the fourth inning, but once again the Lions tied the score. Just a half an inning later Southwest Baptist regained the lead, which it did not relinquish the rest of the way.
The Bearcats outhit Lindenwood 13-7 and the Lions defense committed four errors.
Brian Hruby started on the hill for Lindenwood and went 6 1/3 inning surrendering 12 hits and four runs.
Matt Tellor led the team at the plate with three hits in four at bats.
Eddie Sutton,
Colton Moore, and Wilson all drove in a run.
After the loss, the Lions fall to 24-19 and have just two series left in 2012. Lindenwood will take on the McKendree Bearcats Thursday afternoon in St. Charles, Mo.
