Lady Lions beaten 4-1 by Kutztown University

Box Score The Lindenwood field hockey team wrapped up its road trip to Louisville, Kentucky on Monday morning by falling to Kutztown University by a score of 4-1.

The Golden Bears started the scoring 12 minutes into Monday's match and never looked back. At the 20 minute mark, Kutztown added two more goals, coming three minutes apart. The Lady Lions could not counter Kutztown's offense as Lindenwood failed to get a shot on goal in the first half.

The Lady Lions came out for the second half hopeful when they scored five minutes into play. The Lindenwood tally belonged to Kristi O'Connor which was her second on the season. The Golden Bears were quick to answer, however, scoring their fourth goal just six minutes later. The Lady Lions would not be able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game despite matching Kutztown shot-for-shot in the second half.

Victoria Gil started her third straight game in goal for Lindenwood and recorded eight saves. The Golden Bears recorded twelve shots on goal while the Lady Lions recorded three.

Lindenwood is now 1-2 on the season and will be back on the road against Mercy College on September 9th.
