Box Score The Lindenwood field hockey got back on the winning track Thursday at Hunter Stadium 8-0 on breast cancer awareness night over visiting Hendrix College.
The Lady Lions played in front of a pink-clad fan base and did not disappoint them.
Megan Pranger opened the scoring with a quick goal 30 seconds into the game beating the Hendrix goalie on the near side of the net
Lindenwood's fast start continued scoring three more first-half goals two by way of
Carly Brengosz. That wasn't all of Brengosz' contribution though; she had a blast from just outside the scoring circle that was tipped in the net by
Linda Oberle right in front of the Warriors' goalie.
The second-half was identical to the first with Lindenwood scoring four goals. Senior
Kristi O'Connor continued to find the back of the net early in the second half. The goal was her team-leading tenth this season.
O'Connor  later added her 11th goal of the year with six minutes left in the contest for the final Lindenwood goal. This was the first shutout of the year for goalie
Victoria Gil.
The win brought Lindenwood's record to 3-7 this year. Tomorrow the Lady Lions are back in action at home against the Denison Big Red at 5:30 p.m.
