Box Score The Lindenwood field hockey team capped its home season off in style with a 6-2 win over the Newberry Wolves Friday afternoon.
Megan Pranger got the scoring going with a goal nearly eight minutes in unassisted for her second of the season. She also opened the scoring in the second half as well with her second goal of the contest making the Lady Lions' lead at the time 5-0.
Senior forward
Kristi O'Connor kept her scoring streak going with two goals in the first half within a minute of each other. In the second half, she scored to earn her second hat-trick of the year. The trio of goals brought O'Connor's total to 16 for the year.
Victoria Buysschaert netted her second goal of the season to make the game 4-0. Her other goal also came against the Wolves earlier this year.
This was the second win against Newberry this season for the Lady Lions and improved the team's record to 5-8.
Victoria Gil got her fifth win of the season making five saves.
This was the final regular-season home game of the year for Lindenwood, but they will return to action Nov. 2 at Mercy in New York.
