Men's Soccer Wins Again

Box Score The No. 19 Lindenwood Lions men's soccer team fell behind early to the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm but scored three unanswered goals and won 3-1 on Saturday night in St. Charles.

Southern Nazarene scored the first goal of the game at the 35 minute mark to take the 1-0 lead. Lindenwood answered back three minutes later when Aris Nukic scored his first of two goals. The game headed into the half tied at one.

Just nine minutes into the second half, Ignacio Romero gave the home team its first lead of the game. Nukic finished off the scoring in the 70th minute and the Lions won 3-0.

Fermin Hughes started in the net for Lindenwood and stopped all but one shot. The win was his ninth of the season.

The Lions overall record improves to 9-0-1 and 3-0-1 in MIAA play. Up next for Lindenwood is a home game against Oakland City on Wednesday.
