Series Notes:
- Lindenwood has its first games at the Lindenwood Ice Arena this season with a two-game series against Minnesota State. The Lady Lions and Mavericks play at 7 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday.
- The Lady Lions enter play with a 0-3-1 mark on the young season, while Minnesota State is 1-3-0 on the year. Six of the eight games that these programs have been involved in have been against nationally-ranked programs.
- Lindenwood is 0-6-0 all-time against the Mavericks, including a 0-2-0 mark at the Lindenwood Ice Arena. Three of the six games have been decided by three goals or less.
- The two programs played four times last season. The Mavericks swept the series in Minnesota by scores of 3-0 and 4-1. They also won both games in Missouri by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
- Both teams have struggled on the power play lately. The Lady Lions haven't scored for their 13 opportunites, while Minnesota State is scoreless for its last eight power plays.

Kendra Broad and
Katie Erickson leads Lindenwood with three points against Minnesota State.
Alison Wickenheiser has a team-high two goals versus the Mavericks, and Erickson leads with three assists against them.

Rachel Weich all have one point against Minnesota State.

Nicole Hensley has a .892 save percentage in three starts against Minnesota State, including two games with over 91 percent of saves.
A Look Back At North Dakota:
- Lindenwood faced its first nationally-ranked team of the season last week in Grand Forks, N.D. The Lady Lions were swept by North Dakota by scores of 5-1 and 6-1.
- The Lady Lions were 0-for-eight on the power play in game one, while North Dakota scored three power-play goals in that game.
- In game two, Lindenwood trailed just 1-0 after one period but were outscored 5-1 the rest of the way.
- Lindenwood was outshot 126-25 for the series, including a 75-9 mark in game two.

Nicole Hensley stopped 91.3 percent of the shots she faced over the weekend and had 115 saves.

Nicole Hensley leads the nation in saves with 178, nearly 40 percent more than the next closest person, Minnesota State's Danielle Butters.

Nicole Hensley's 69 saves in game two against North Dakota was the third-most in Lindenwood history. Her 29 saves in the third period of that game are the second-most at Lindenwood for a period.

Kendra Broad has a point in all four games this season. She is the only player in the nation with four games played this year to record a point in each contest.

Alyssa West and
Chelsea Witwicke both have a positive plus/minus for the season. West was a +2 last weekend against North Dakota, and Witwicke was +1 in the series.
- In game two of the North Dakota series, the Lady Lions had their best penalty killing. Lindenwood held North Dakota to 0-for-seven on the power play in that game.
- Lindenwood is still looking for its first point coming from its freshmen class.
Morgan Church leads that class with seven shots, followed by
Leah Elledge with four.
- The Lady Lions took a lot more penalties in their second series of the year. After having just six against Bemidji State, Lindenwood had 15 penalties called in the North Dakota series.
- Lindenwood will look to get off to a quick start against the Mavericks. The Lady Lions are 9-8-3 all-time when they score first in a game. They are also 7-2-0 when leading at the end of the first period.
- The Lady Lions are 13-9-1 during their NCAA era when recording 30 or more shots in a game, compared to a 2-41-2 mark when having fewer than 30 shots.
College Hockey America Notes:
- One CHA team, Mercyhurst, is nationally-ranked. The Lakers are ninth in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and receiving votes in the USCHO.com poll.
- The CHA is 5-9-2 in non-conference action this season. Penn State leads the conference with a 1-0-1 overall record, followed by Robert Morris and Syracuse at 1-1-0.
- The CHA Players of the Week are: Penn State's Hannah Hoenshell (Player of the Week), Syracuse's Kallie Billadeau (Goalie of the Week), and Penn State's Kelly Seward (Rookie of the Week).
About Minnesota State:
- Minnesota State is 1-3-0 on the year after splitting a series with Mercyhurst and being swept last weekend by Wisconsin.
- The Mavericks are averaging 1.8 goals a game while allowing 3.2 goals a contest.
- The Mavericks return 19 letterwinners from last year's squad that went 10-21-5 overall.
- Nicole Germaine and Lauren Barnes lead the Mavericks with three points each on the young season. Kathleen Rogan has a team-high two goals and Barnes leads with three assists.
- Danielle Butters has been the only goalie to appear this year. She has a 3.03 GAA and a .914 save percentage.
- Head coach of Minnesota State is Eric Means. He is in his fifth season and has a record of 33-99-14.
