The Lindenwood field hockey won its fifth consecutive game with a win in the ECAC Tournament semi-finals over Bellarmine 1-0. The Lady Lions advance to Sunday's conference finals.

This was the third meeting of the season between the two teams with the Lady Lions earning a clean sweep.

The first half was a back and forth defensive battle early on with both teams being kept of the scoreboard until the 12th minute.

Senior Kristi O'Connor ripped a shot at a sharp angle to beat the goalie to put Lindenwood up 1-0. With the goal, O'Connor earned her 46th and 47th points and her team-high 20th goal of the season. She also moved into the top-five goal scorers in the nation.

In the second half, the defensive battle continued throughout. The Lady Lions managed 11 shots in the half with one going just wide from Kristi O'Connor.

Lindenwood's defense remained strong with them not allowing the Knights to get the equalizer. Victoria Gil made six saves in the game to earn the shutout.

Lindenwood's record sits at 8-8 and the team's next game in the ECAC Championship Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
