Box Score The Lindenwood men's basketball team used its best shooting night of the season to roll to an 83-66 win over the Robert Morris-Springfield Eagles on Wednesday night in St. Charles. Â
Robert Morris-Springfield started off the contest with some hot shooting. The Eagles made their first six-of-eight shots and led by as many as seven. Unfortunately, for the visitors the lead did not last long and was their only advantage they would have all night.
Lindenwood would find its offense touch going on a 25-11 run to take the lead by eight. The long run in the middle of the half was not the only run for the home team. The Lions closed the half on a 11-2 run and went into the locker room leading by 15.
The second half started well for the Eagles just like it did in the first half. Robert Morris jumped out to a 18-8 run and cut its deficit to five. With their lead down to five the Lions took back control of the contest. Just two minutes later the lead quickly increased to 14. Lindenwood pushed its lead up to as many as 21 and cruised to the 17 point victory.
The Lions shot 60 percent from the field and 44 percent from behind the three-point line. Lindenwood dominated the glass outrebounding the Eagles 35-23.
All five starters scored in double figures for the Lions led by
Tyler Ressel who scored 20.
Darris Smith was second on the team with 14 points while
