On Tap For The Lindenwood Lions
• Lindenwood will host Quincy in a conference match on Wednesday, February 13 before traveling up to Wisconsin for three matches against Milwaukee School of Engineering, St. Xavier, and Carthage.

• The Quincy match is the final conference match until the Lions host Lewis on March 22.

• Lindenwood holds a 14-6 edge over the Quincy Hawks. The Lions finished the 2012 season with a victory over Quincy.

• The Lions are undefeated against Milwaukee School of Engineering and St. Xavier. Lindenwood is 5-2 against Carthage.

About the Hawks
• As a member of the MIVA conference, the Quincy Hawks have started the 2013 season with a 4-7 overall record and a 0-4 mark in the MIVA.

• Jack Gamache is averaging 3.20 kills per set and he leads the team with 144.5 points.

• Steven Battaglia leads the team with 10 service aces this season.

About the Raiders
• Milwaukee's lone victory of the season came against St. Xavier on January 30. The Raiders won in four sets by scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-23.

• The first match of the season for the Raiders came against Quincy. The Hawks won in four sets in Milwaukee.

About the Cougars
• St. Xavier's two victories came against Robert Morris and Siena Heights.

• Justin Cousin leads the Cougars offensively with 2.61 kills per set.

• Nick Piccirillo is averaging 1.54 digs per set for the Cougars.

About the Red Men
• Carthage has started the season with an 8-2 overall record.

• The Red Men fell to Loyola-Chicago in their first match of the season.

• Pat Barry is averaging 5.15 kills per set.

Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood looks to garner another victory in the MIVA before starting its non-conference portion of its schedule.

• Last week, Lindenwood fell to Lewis and Loyola-Chicago in straight sets.

• Lindenwood is seventh in the conference with a team hitting percentage of .195.

Scott Siwicki is third in the conference in blocks. Siwicki is averaging 1.29 blocks per set.

Tim Schmidt, the primary setter for the Lions, has recorded 250 assists this season. The mark of 9.62 assists per set puts him fifth in the conference in that category. He also leads the team with eight service aces.

• Sophomore Colin Hackworth is averaging 3.28 kills per set. That mark puts him sixth in the conference.

Cory Buehler is third in the conference in digs per set at a mark of 2.75.

MIVA Conference
• Lindenwood is the eighth and newest member to the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association conference.

• The Lions were picked seventh in the MIVA preseason poll. Quincy was picked behind Lindenwood in eighth.

• The Lions finished 3-6 against MIVA opponents last season, including 3-1 over the last four matches.

Next Up For The Lions
• Next weekend, Lindenwood will travel out to the Carolinas for three non-conference matches. On February 21, the Lions will take on Belmont Abbey. On the 22nd, Lindenwood will have a match against Limestone and on the 23rd it will have a match against Pfeiffer.
