Women's Hockey Ends Regular Season At Syracuse

Series Notes
- Lindenwood ends the regular season this weekend with a two-game series at Syracuse.

- The Lady Lions enter the final weekend tied for fourth in the CHA standings. If Lindenwood has better results or the same results as Robert Morris this week, the Lady Lions will host a first-round CHA Tournament series.

- Syracuse has already secured a second-place finish in the CHA and it will receive a bye for the first-round of the league tournament.

- Lindenwood is riding a six-game unbeaten streak, the third longest active streak in NCAA Division I. Syracuse lost twice last weekend to Mercyhurst, but won eight straight games prior to that.

- Syracuse swept the first series of the season with Lindenwood. The Orange won by scores of 2-1 and 8-1.

- Lindenwood was outshot by a 41-29 margin in game one of that series, and by a 54-19 margin in game two.

- Both teams struggled on the power play, with each team going one-for-ten.

- Lindenwood is 2-10-2 on the road this season, including a 2-4-2 mark in CHA road games. Syracuse is 9-7-0 on its home ice this year, including a 5-3-0 mark in CHA play.

- Syracuse leads the all-time series by a 4-0-0 margin. Last season in Syracuse, the Orange won by scores of 6-2 and 2-1 (OT).

A Look Back At Robert Morris
- Lindenwood earned its first CHA series sweep and first NCAA home sweep after defeating Robert Morris 3-2 and 4-2.

- In game one, the Lady Lions tied the score with an extra attacker goal by Lyndsay Kirkham in the final minute of regulation, and then won on Alison Wickenheiser's penalty-shot goal in overtime.

- The penalty-shot goal was the first for Lindenwood during its NCAA history. The win was also the first for the program's NCAA era when trailing after two periods.

- On Senior Day, senior Brett Lobreau broke a 2-2 tie with 8:22 left in the game with the game-winning goal.

- The win was the first for Lindenwood when allowing over 50 shots.

- Lyndsay Kirkham had four points in the series with one goal and three assists. Alison Wickenheiser had two goals and one assist.

- Nicole Hensley made 88 saves on the weekend and had a .957 save percentage.

- Robert Morris was 0-for-eight on the power play for the series, while Lindenwood was one-for-five.

- Lindenwood was outshot 92-51 for the two games.

- Three seniors, Brett Lobreau, Amy Stober, and Erica Wynn, were honored prior to Saturday's contest.

Lindenwood Notes
- Goalie Nicole Hensley has won three straight CHA Rookie of the Week honors. In that span, she is averaging 36.3 saves a game and has a .948 save percentage.

- In just CHA games, Nicole Hensley leads the conference with a .939 save percentage.

- Lyndsay Kirkham has 14 points in league games. That is third-most among CHA freshmen.

- Lyndsay Kirkham has scored at least one point in five straight contests. She has three goals and five assists in that span.

- Katie Erickson has played a key role in Lindenwood's recent unbeaten streak. In the last six games, she has four points and a +4 plus/minus.

- Alison Wickenheiser has a point in five straight games. She has five goals in that span, including one in each of the last three games.

- Alison Wickenheiser is tied for second with three game-winning goals in CHA play.

- Over the last 13 games, Alyssa West has a +8 plus/minus. She has one assist in five straight games.

- Chelsea Witwicke had a +4 plus/minus in the second Robert Morris contest last week. She is +5 over the last six games.

- Brett Lobreau scored her first goal of the season against Robert Morris. Including her years in the ACHA, Lobreau now has 110 career points.

- Over the last four games, Lindenwood has allowed just one power-play goal in 16 chances (6.3%).

- Over the last six games, the Lady Lions are eight-for-30 (26.7%) on the power play.

CHA Notes
- Mercyhurst is the lone nationally-ranked team out of the CHA. The Lakers are No.  9 in both the USA Today/USA Hockey magazine poll and in the USCHO.com ranking.

- The CHA Tournament begins on March 1-3. The first round is a best-of-three series between seeds No. 3 and No. 6, and seeds No. 4 and No. 5.

About the Orange
- The Orange are 18-5-1 against non-ranked teams this season, and have not lost to a non-ranked opponent since November.

- Syracuse is second in the CHA in penalty kill but last in power-play percentage.

- Syracuse goalie Kallie Billadeau is second in the nation in shutouts, fifth in save percentage, and seventh in goals against average.

- Shiann Darkangelo is fourth in the CHA with 14 goals. She is one of six players on Syracuse with eight or more goals.

- Nicole Ferrara and Holley Carrie-Mattimoe are tied for the team-high with 24 points, one more than Melissa Piacentini.

- Head coach of Syracuse is Paul Flanigan. He is one win away from 300 for his career.
