Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team started its 2013 season with two losses to the Saint Leo Lions in Saint Leo, Fla. on Wednesday night. Lindenwood fell in game one 6-1 and lost the night cap 10-0.
Game one started with Saint Leo getting on the scoreboard in the first inning with a pair of runs. The home team added to the lead with single tallies in the third and fourth innings. Lindenwood scored its first run of the game in the sixth inning. Saint Leo answered that run with two of its own and went on for the 61- victory in game one.
Hannah Braun led Lindenwood at the plate going one-for-three with a RBI.
Kendall Ryndak started in the circle for Lindenwood and went four innings giving up four runs on seven hits.
Game two started off quickly for Saint Leo. The Lions of Saint Leo scored 10 runs in the game's first three innings. Lindenwood's offense was only able to muster two hits in the loss.
The Lions start off the 2013 season 0-2. Up next for Lindenwood is the Eckerd Tournament which starts on Feb. 8.
