Softball Swept at Home by Upper Iowa

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team dropped a doubleheader to the Upper Iowa Peacocks on Friday afternoon in St. Charles, Mo. The Lady Lions fell in game one 2-1 and game two 11-0.

The opening game started with the Peacocks scoring a run in the top of the first inning. Lindenwood was able to tie the score at one in the fourth inning after a suicide squeeze was performed beautifully by Kendall Ryndak.

Unfortunately for Lindenwood, Upper Iowa answered right back in the top of the fifth with a run and that was all the Peacocks needed. The visitors held on for the 2-1 win.

The second game of the day also saw Upper Iowa score a run in the top of the first inning. But that was not the only damage the Peacocks would do. The visitors scored three in the third, three in the fifth, and four more in the sixth which sent Upper Iowa to an 11-0 win.

The Lady Lions offense was only able to muster four hits in two games.

With the two losses Lindenwood drops to 8-10 overall.  The Lady Lions will be back in action on March 18 against the Lincoln Blue Tigers in Jefferson City, Mo.
