Baseball Falls to Central Oklahoma 2-0 on Saturday.

Box Score Lindenwood falls to Central Oklahoma on Saturday at GCS Ballpark by a final of 2-0.

The Lions offense could not support another great pitching performance by sophomore Dylan Terrell as his record took a hit dropping him to 3-2 on the season.

Terrell had a no-hitter through the first three innings of play striking out five in that span.  The Lindenwood southpaw threw a season-high nine innings, struck out nine, allowed just six hits, and did not walk a batter.

The Lions best chance came in the eighth inning when Nathan Prindle and Wade Rothermich hit back-to-back singles.  With runners at the corners Ben Coudret was intentionally walked to load the bases.  The strategy paid off for Central Oklahoma as they turned a 4-6-3 double play to end the threat.

The Bronchos were able to get two runs on two hits and an error in the top of the ninth inning to give them the lead.  Ryan Light hit a two-out single in the bottom of the inning but the Lions could not get a rally going as they fell 2-0.

Mike Wilson extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a two-out single in the fourth inning.  Junior first baseman Mike Failoni also improved his hitting streak to nine games with a two-hit game which included a double in the first inning.  The multi-hit game is the fourth of the year for Failoni.

Lindenwood falls to 5-9 on the year and 5-5 in the conference.  The Lions are in action on Tuesday in Bolivar, Mo. to face Southwest Baptist for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
