The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team continued its high-scoring ways at Hunter Stadium on Saturday. The Lions won their fourth-straight game with a 21-5 victory over Fontbonne.
Lindenwood never trailed in the game after scoring the first three goals of the contest. It led 6-1 after the first period and extended it to 14-1 by halftime. The Lions led 20-1 before Fontbonne outscored them 4-1 in the final period.
Brandon Stuebing was the team leader with three goals and two assists.
Carter McCracken also had three goals and one assist.
Greg Cameron and
Andrew Szczepan each had two goals and two assists. A total of 12 Lions in all had a goal in the game and 11 recorded at least one assist.
Michael Helfant won 15-of-19 faceoffs and
Graeme Hossack was the team leader with six groundballs.
Mike Meagher caused five turnovers and picked up four groundballs.
Lindenwood improves to 4-1 on the season. The team is home again next Saturday for a contest against Mercyhurst, the current No. 1 team in the nation.
