Men's Lacrosse Sets Program's Single-Game Scoring Record

Box Score The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Hunter Stadium with the largest win in its NCAA history. The Lions defeated Ohio Valley by a 25-5 score in an ECAC contest.

Lindenwood dominated the first half when it outscored the Fighting Scots by a 12-0 margin. The Lions had 35 shots in the half, compared to five for Ohio Valley. Lindenwood was also 12-of-14 on faceoffs and had a 29-12 advantage on groundballs for the first 30 minutes.

Lindenwood continued to pour it on in the second half with 13 more goals for its high-scoring output in a game over the last two years.

Fourteen different players scored for Lindenwood, including a team-high four goals by Greg Cameron. Andrew Peterson, Kyle O'Donnell, Brandon Stuebing, and Brandon Lenz all had three goals. Matt Schenk had three assists and Cameron assisted on two goals.

Dan Ashlock earned the win in goal, making three saves and allowing two goals in over 46 minutes. Graeme Hossack had nine groundballs and four caused turnovers. Michael Helfant won 14-of-17 faceoffs.

Lindenwood improves to 7-4 on the season and 2-3 in ECAC play. The Lions conclude their season next week with road games at Alderson-Broaddus and Wheeling Jesuit.
