The Lindenwood men's volleyball fell on Senior Night on Saturday evening to No. 15 Ball State by a score of 3-0. The Lions fell by scores of 25-14, 27-25, and 27-25 at Hyland Arena.

The Lions got out to a slow start, quickly finding themselves in a 17-9 hole to the Cardinals. In that span, Ball State went on a 7-2 primarily behind the serve of Greg Herceg. The Cardinals closed out the first set taking five out of the last six points.
The second set found the Lions in a hole once again at 17-12 before a 5-2 Lindenwood run brought the Lions within two. The team battled three set points before Ball State's Jamion Hartley recorded a kill to end the set.
Lindenwood and Ball State battled it out in the third set, keeping each other within reach the entire set. There were 16 ties in the third set.
Colin Hackworth led the Lions with 13 kills at a clip of .367. Calder led the team with 10 digs and setter
Tim Schmidt added nine digs to go along with 27 assists. Cox recorded four assists in the first set and Saunders picked up an assist and a dig.
Lindenwood falls to 19-10 overall and 5-7 in the MIVA conference. The Lions will travel out to Grand Canyon on April 11 for the final two matches of the 2013 season. First serve in Phoenix, Ariz. is scheduled for 8 p.m. Central Time.
