Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team completely shut down the Southwest Baptist Bearcats on Friday afternoon in Bolivar, Mo. The Lady Lions won both games of the MIAA matchup with a pair of shut outs. Lindenwood won game one 4-0 and game two 11-0. Kristen Felker threw the team's first no hitter of the season in the Lady Lions win in game two.

For the second consecutive start, Kendall Ryndak was a dominant force in the circle. Ryndak went 6 2/3 innings winning her second consecutive game while striking out seven and surrendering just four hits.

The offense for the Lady Lions gave Ryndak four runs to work with in the first three innings. Those runs were all she would need. Deidre Merli chipped in with two hits, while Courtney Kitson and Courtney Opich each drove in a run of their own.

Game two was much of the same for the visitors in the circle. Felker surrendered no hits to the Bearcats while also striking out six. The offense also broke out in game two. The Lady Lions scored two runs in the first to take a 2-0 lead. After scoring zero in the second inning, Lindenwood would score at least one run the rest of the way.

Two runs in the third, two more in the fourth, one in the fifth, and four in sixth powered the Lady Lions to the 11-0 win. Lindenwood pounded out 15 hits to the Bearcats zero.

Kitson and Merli led the way with three hits apiece. Merli also drove in three runs while Ryndak chipped in with two RBIs.

After the sweep the Lady Lions have now won four games in a row and have their overall record to 15-17 and MIAA mark to 6-8. There is no rest for the Lindenwood as the team will take on Central Missouri on the road Saturday afternoon.
