The Lady Lions compiled five hits and brought across four runs to tie the score up at four. Now with the game tied it was up to the defense to keep the scored knotted. That is exactly what it did and sent the game into the final inning tied.
The top of the seventh started with a ground out and single. Alexander Newcomb followed up the single with a double that sent
Courtney Opich to third base.
Deidre Merli was the next hitter and connected on a huge double which scored two runs and gave the visitors the lead it needed.
Central Missouri was able to score one run in the bottom of the seventh but could not get any closer.
Opich and Newcomb both had three hits in the game.
Hannah Braun led the team with four runs batted in and Merli chipped in with two.
Morgan Colvis closed the game out for Lindenwood earning her second save of the season.
Game two started with the Lady Lions taking a 1-0 lead after the first inning. Lindenwood added to the lead with a run in the third but allowed Central back into the game with a run in the bottom half of the third.
The two teams each would end up with four runs heading into the seventh and final inning. The Lady Lions started the seventh with the first seven hitters reaching base and eventually scoring three runs to take a commanding 7-4 lead.
Erin Pietzman led the team with three hits while also driving in a run and scoring a run.
Kaitlynn Siebert, Merli, and Kitson all had two hits each.
