The Lindenwood women's volleyball team was defeated 3-1 in four sets at the hands of the Northwest Missouri Bearcats Friday night at Hyland Arena.

The Lady Lions lost the match's first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-21. The Lady Lions bounced back in set three beating Northwest Missouri 25-17. Lindenwood couldn't hang with the Bearcats though as they finished the Lady Lions in set four 25-21.

Sarah Makowski led the offense with 13 kills and a .440 hitting percentage. Aleah Rosenau and Shannon Doyle each chipped in with nine kills. Emma Brydels was the team leader with 32 assists, Brianna Justis and Anna Reichert each had double-figure dig totals, and Megan Dillon had a team-high four blocks.

The Lady Lions return to action at Hyland Arena tomorrow with an afternoon match against nationally-ranked Central Missouri at 3 p.m.
