Box Score The Lindenwood men's volleyball team earned its first home victory of the season on Sunday afternoon at Hyland Arena. The Lions defeated Carthage by scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-22.
The Lions won with their defense as they held Carthage to just a .136 hitting percentage. Lindenwood had 26 digs and 10 blocks in the match. The Lions hit .236 as a team and had a season-low of nine service errors.
Michael Adams continued his hot hitting for the Lions, recording a game-high 14 kills and hitting .407. Adams also collected a service ace, four digs, and four blocks.
Kyle Overby had eight kills for the Lions and
Scott Siwicki had five kills and no errors on just six attempts.
David Poole had a team-high nine digs,
Colin Hackworth led with five blocks, and
Tim Schmidt had 30 assists.
Lindenwood improves to 2-2 on the season. The Lions will resume conference play on Wednesday evening with a road contest at Quincy.
