Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lion soccer team beat the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats 1-0 in Maryville, Mo. on Friday night.
Neither team could score in the opening half but it wasn't because of lack of chances. The Lady Lions had six shots on goal and the Northwest Missouri had three.
After the halftime break the game was all Lindenwood's. The Lady Lions compiled six shots and only surrendered one. After all the shots Lindenwood finally cracked the scoreboard.
Becky Roberts scored her sixth goal of the season to give the visitors the lead and the victory.
Melissa Weiss started in the net and earned the shutout stopping all three shots she saw.
The win evened the Lady Lions record at 6-6-3 overall and 5-4-2 in MIAA play. Up next for Lindenwood is a road game against Missouri Western on Sunday afternoon.
