complete resultsThe Lindenwood swimming and diving teams both won another home competition on Saturday at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. Both teams defeated Saint Louis, Lindenwood-Belleville, and Missouri-St. Louis, and the men's team also had more points than Missouri S&T.
The women's team won 10 of 13 events and finished with 631 points. The Lady Lions won by 14 over NCAA Division I Saint Louis. Lindenwood-Belleville finished with 258 points, and Missouri-St. Louis had 87.
The men's competition came down to the final event and Lindenwood's 400 free victory gave it a win over Saint Louis by a score of 1206-1184. Lindenwood-Belleville was third with 485 points, followed by Missouri S&T with 383 and Missouri-St. Louis with 241.
On the women's side,
Hannah Vinyard,
Alecia McGillivray, and
Renata Xavier Cabral all had multiple wins. Vinyard won the 200 fly and 1000 free, McGillivray won the 200 and 500 frees, and Xavier Cabral was first in the 50 and 100 frees. Other winners were
Jocelyn Woo in the 200 IM,
Carleen Wayne in the one-meter dive,
Shelby Werkema in the three-meter dive, and the 400 free relay team.
Lindenwood's men's team swept both the 400 free and medley relay events. Individual winners were
Igor Mijatovic in the 1000 free,
Jakub Jonczyk in the 100 free,
David Cochran in the one-meter and three-meter diving events,
Felix Eigel in the 200 fly,
Serghei Golban in the 200 back, and
Mateusz Pacholczyk in the 200 breast.
Lindenwood is off next week and will be in action again with a dual at William Jewell on Nov. 15.
