Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team dropped a pair of games to the Fontbonne Griffons on Saturday afternoon in St. Charles. Fontbonne won game one 9-1 and finished off the doubleheader sweep with a 10-2 victory.

Lindenwood's defense was the story in game one committing four errors behind starter Kendall Ryndak. Fontbonne scored seven runs combined in the second through fifth innings which out the Lady Lions far behind.

Danielle Farnam was the only Lady Lions to drive in a run and no one got had more than one hit. Ryndak started on the rubber and took the loss after giving up five earned runs and walking seven.

Game two was not much better for Lindenwood. Fontbonne jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first and second inning to give the visitors the early lead. The Griffons then put the game away with a six run fourth.

Once again in game two no Lady Lion had more than one hit. Morgan Colvis started for Lindenwood and took her first loss of the season.

The two loses drop the Lady Lions to 2-6 on the season. Lindenwood will play next weekend against Kentucky Wesleyan and Maryville at Maryville.
