Box Score The Lindenwood baseball team lost 8-2 to Erskine College in Augusta, Ga. on Saturday.
Erskine jumped out to an early lead over the Lions by scoring four runs in the first two innings off of starting pitcher
Austin Klein. The Lions could only manufacture just two runs in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 4-2.
Kyle Leslie had a hand in both runs that were scored as he drove in
Nathan Prindle on a double to left and then crossed the plate on a
Nick Kolley single to center.
The Flying Fleet added three more runs in the sixth inning to pull away and beat the Lions by a final of 8-2. The Lions were outhit 18-6 and committed five fielding errors.
The loss puts Lindenwood at 3-7 on the year. The Lions will look to bounce back Sunday as they will stay in Augusta, Ga. To take on Georgia Regents for two nine-inning games starting at 12 p.m. (11 a.m. central).
