Men's Volleyball Continues To Struggle With Ranked Team

Box Score The Lindenwood men's volleyball team struggled defensively for the second consecutive day as it fell to No. 12 Lewis by scores of 25-10, 25-22, and 25-19.

The Flyers hit over .500 for the match with a .532 percentage, and they had a 81 percent sideout percentage. Lindenwood had just three blocks and 21 digs in the match. On the other side, Lewis had six blocks and 27 digs, and it held the Lions to a .274 hitting percentage.

Michael Adams led Lindenwood with 12 kills and a .524 hitting percentage. He also had a service ace, a block, and a perfect serve receive percentage. Zach Bequette finished with six kills and no errors in nine attempts. Tim Schmidt had team-highs of 31 assists and five digs. David Poole and Tim Huizinga also had five digs apiece.

Lindenwood falls to 12-6 overall and 3-5 in the MIVA. The Lions return home this Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. contest against regional rival Missouri Baptist.
