Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team swept two more games from the Lincoln Blue Tigers for the second consecutive day. The Lady Lions won game one 15-6 then shutout the Blue Tigers in the final game 7-0.
The Lady Lions' offense was clicking on all cylinders from the very beginning. Lindenwood opened the game with a run in the first then a pair of three run innings in the second and the third.
Lincoln kept the game close in the opening innings. The Blue Tigers scored six runs in the first three innings. With a one run lead in the fourth the Lions offense continued the onslaught. Single tallies in the fourth and the fifth and then a six spot in the sixth to run away for the win.
The Lady Lions hit four doubles a triple and homerun in game one.
Courtney Opich led the way going a perfect four-for-four at the plate with six RBIs.
Kendall Ryndak earned her second win in as many days.
Game two saw Lindenwood once again jump out to an early lead. The Lady Lions opened the scoring in the first inning then added to it in the third with two. The scoring wrapped up in the seventh with a four run frame.
Morgan Colvis pitched her second consecutive complete game in as many days.
The Lady Lions improved their record to 7-10 on the season. Lindenwood will play again on Monday at Maryville.
