Nationally-Ranked Dominican Too Much For Men's Lacrosse

Box Score The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team fell Sunday afternoon to 13th ranked Dominican University of California 10-6.

The nationally-ranked Penguins jumped out to an early three-goal lead including a goal on the man-up advantage.

Lindenwood struggled to climb back in the game despite the first-goal of the season for long-stick midfielder Graeme Hossack.

In addition to the goal, Hossack grabbed 11 groundballs while causing five turnovers.  The 11 groundballs and five caused turnovers increased his lead for the team in both the categories. He now has 18 caused turnovers and 34 groundballs in just four games played.

Dominican added a trio of goals before halftime taking a 6-2 lead into the break. The teams played even in the second half each scoring four times. Brandon Stuebing scored back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter for five total this season.

The loss brings Lindenwood's record to 0-4. The team's next game is on the road at conference opponent Mercyhurst Mar. 22 at 1 p.m. in Erie, Pa.
