Box Score The Lindenwood men's volleyball team ended the non-conference portion of its regular season schedule with a 3-1 victory over NJIT on Tuesday night at Hyland Arena. The Lions finished the year with a 15-1 mark in non-conference action.
The Lions dropped the first set but bounced back for a 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, and 25-21 win. Lindenwood's offense finished with 22 more kills and it hit .486 for the match. Defensively, the Lions blocked 11 shots which helped hold the Highlanders to just a .240 hitting mark.
Colin Hackworth had a big match with 22 kills and a .645 hitting percentage.
Tim Huizinga added 14 kills and hit .600.
Michael Adams finished with 13 kills, and
Scott Siwicki had 10 kills and no errors in 15 attempts.
Tim Schmidt finished with 54 assists and recorded assists on nearly 60 percent of his sets. Schmidt also had nine digs to tie for the team-high with
David Poole.
Logan Jarus and Siwicki each had five blocks in the match.
Lindenwood improves to 18-6 on the season. The Lions have their final home contest on Saturday afternoon against Quincy.
