Men's Volleyball Wins Big On Senior Day

Box Score The men's volleyball team defeated Quincy University 3-0 on Saturday afternoon for a dominating Senior Day victory. Lindenwood won the sets by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-17 for a victory over its MIVA rival.

Colin Hackworth continued to impress as he led all players with his eight kills while hitting .350 for the match. In his final home match, Senior Tim Schmidt had 17 assists to go along with eight digs. Senior Tim Huizinga had the highest hitting percentage in the match at .667 with six kills on nine total attack attempts. Arguably the player of the match was Senior Scott Siwicki. He managed seven service aces, five more than the next closest, while also hitting .500.

As a team, the Lions were extremely impressive on defense managing 22 totals digs to go along with 14 total blocks, compared to only two blocks for the Hawks.

With the win the team improves to 19-6 overall and 4-5 in MIVA play. This was the final home match of the year, but the season is not over. The Lions face Ohio State next Saturday in Columbus, Ohio in a MIVA contest.
