Box Score The Lindenwood men's lacrosse earned its first victory with a win Tuesday night over the visiting Adams State University Grizzlies 12-8.
The Lions were dominate in terms of shots with 36 total in the contest compared to just 23 for the Grizzlies.
Brandon Stuebing continues his torrent scoring pace with four more goals in Tuesday's contest for a team-high 12 this season.
Matt Schenk also had a hat-trick to move to second in goals on the team with nine.
Lindenwood got out to the early lead with a
David Corazalla unassisted goal followed by Schenk and Stuebings first goals of the night to go into the second quarter up 3-1.
Adams State battled back to even up the score on a man-up opportunity to make the score 4-4 at that point.
Troy O'Donnell scored his seventh goal of the season to answer for Lindenwood on a beautiful one-timer from
Ben Beath. Beath came in for an injured player and made an impact all night.
The teams went into halftime tied at 5-5 looking as if the game would come down to the wire. After the Grizzlies were able to grab the lead,
Adam Ure came off the bench to fill in as the goalie. The Lions responded to the goalie change scoring five unanswered goals to win 12-8.
The win was Ure's first of the season to move to 1-0 on the year and the team goes to 1-5 this season.
