Box Score The Lindenwood men's volleyball team swept Tuesday's match against regional rival Missouri Baptist. The Lions won by scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-19.
Lindenwood's defense set the tone early and finished the match with 11 team blocks and 43 digs.
Zach Bequette led in blocks with six and
Tim Huizinga had a hand in five blocks.
Logan Jarus and
Colin Hackworth each had four blocks. Huizinga also had a team-high 13 digs, followed by Schmidt with nine and
David Poole with eight.
Offensively, the Lions' middle hitters were nearly unstoppable as Jarus and Bequette combined for 11 kills and no errors in just 18 attempts. Hackworth had a team-high 11 kills,
Michael Adams had nine, and Huizinga finished with eight. Schmidt finished the match with 36 assists and Hackworth had a pair of service aces.
Lindenwood improves to 13-6 with the win. The Lions are off until next Tuesday when they hosts another regional rival in McKendree.
