The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team won in blowout fashion Saturday afternoon 13-4 over the visiting Walsh Cavaliers in an ECAC Conference showdown.
Brandon Stuebing would lead the way for the Lions tying a school record with six goals in the game including four in the first half of play. He also had one assist landing him just one point shy of the record for points in Lindenwood history.
The first quarter was back and forth with each team getting on the board twice. Walsh scored first which was quickly answered by the Lions. Matt Schenk scored his 11th goal of the season then minutes later Stuebing scored his first of six goals in the game. Walsh would answer with a man-up goal to go into the second quarter tied at two.
Lindenwood dominated the game from this point on. The Lions scored seven goals in the second quarter including three more Stuebing goals. Troy O'Donnell found the back of the net twice in the quarter with John Pettis scoring his first goal of the year.
The Lions didn't let up in the second half scoring four more goals to win going away.
Graeme Hossack grabbed a total of eight groundballs in the contest while causing three Cavaliers turnovers.
Jake Redlingshafer earned his first win of the season stopping five shots in the process.
The win improves Lindenwood to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
