The Lindenwood swimming and diving teams ended their home schedules on Friday night at Pattonville High School. Both teams earned victories in the tri-meet with Washington and Lindenwood-Belleville.
On the men's side, Lindenwood defeated Washington by a score of 199-87, and it earned a victory over Lindenwood-Belleville by a 244-33 margin. The women's team defeated Washington by a 183-107 score, and it knocked off Lindenwood-Belleville by a score of 235-32.
Lindenwood won 12 of the 13 men's events. Multiple winners included
Jakub Jonczyk in the 200 free and 100 free,
Sylwester Borowicz-Skoneczny in the 1000 free and 500 free, and
David Cochran in the one-meter and three-meter diving events.
On the women's side, the Lady Lions won 11 of 13 events.
Alecia McGillivray won the 1000 free and 200 back,
Renata Xavier Cabral won the 50 free and 100 free, and
Carleen Wayne swept the two diving events.
Another highlight for the night was Krzysztof Jankiewicz setting a 100 back split of 47.51 while swimming in the 400 medley relay. That time earns him an automatic spot the national championships.
Lindenwood will compete in the Principia Diving Invitational next weekend, followed by the RMAC Championships on Feb. 11-14.
