Box Score The Lindenwood field hockey team dropped a non-conference matchup with the Dowling College Golden Lions 4-1 on Monday afternoon from Oakdale, N.Y.
 
The match opened up scoreless for the first 28:15, until Dowling received a goal from Zoe Norton giving them a 1-0 lead, which the Golden Lions would carry into halftime. Opening the second-half, Sarah Shams-Kollar added a goal to the Dowling lead at the 48:14 mark, making the score 2-0. Sixty seven seconds later the Lady Lions got themselves on the board thanks to a Graycen Dave goal, cutting the Dowling lead in half, 2-1. However, that would be as close as the Lady Lions would get for the afternoon as Dowling poured in two more goals for the final score of 4-1. 
 
In net for the Lady Lions Victoria Gil registered five saves while allowing the four goals against. In the end, both teams recorded 12 shots, while Lindenwood had the advantage in shots on goal (10-9).
 
With the loss, Lindenwood moves its season record to 6-6. With the win, Dowling improves to 4-8 on the season. The Lady Lions will return to action on Friday when they host Bellarmine University for an ECAC matchup at 5 p.m.
