Box Score The Lindenwood field hockey team pushed LIU Post the entire game but fell just short by a 2-1 score on Friday afternoon in Brookville, N.Y.

LIU Post scored the first goal of the game at the 44:44 mark with a spin from Emily Miller. They added another goal at the 56:51 mark off a rebound to make the score 2-0. Maroussia Buysschaert, freshman, scored the Lady Lions only goal and her first of the season off a dish from Nicole Johnston.

Both teams combined for 22 total shots with 14 on goal in the tightly-contested game. The Lady Lions recorded nine corner shots while LIU Post posted seven.

The Lady Lions fall to 5-5 as they continue their road trip through New York with a game against St. Thomas Aquinas College on Sunday, October 11 at noon.
