A Look At This Week's Games• The Lindenwood men's basketball team begins play again this week with a two-game road trip to the state of Kansas. The Lions will face Washburn on Saturday evening, followed by a Monday game at Emporia State.
• The Lions are off to their best start in MIAA play since joining the league in 2012-13 with a 4-1 record through the first five games. Lindenwood went into the break with two double-figure victories over Missouri Western and No. 25 Northwest Missouri.
• Washburn will enter the game with Lindenwood with a 7-3 overall record and a 3-2 MIAA mark. The Ichabods' biggest win of the year was an 88-86 victory over the preseason number one, Augustana.
• Emporia State is currently 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the MIAA. The Hornets face Rockhurst and Lincoln before taking on the Lions.
• Lindenwood will be away from home for the first time for just the fifth and sixth time this season, and the first time since November 24. The Lions will be on the road 11 times for the rest of the MIAA schedule, compared to six games at Hyland Arena.
Lindenwood Notes• Lindenwood set two school records last time out against Northwest Missouri. The team set a mark with 11 blocked shots in a game, and
Stanislas Heili set the individual blocking record with seven blocks.
• The win over Northwest Missouri was the second victory for Lindenwood over a nationally-ranked team since it moved to the NCAA Division II level.
• Lindenwood has held six of its last seven opponents below 38 percent shooting from the field, including in all five MIAA games. MIAA opponents are shooting just 36 percent against the Lions.
• The Lions are second in the MIAA in scoring defense by allowing 67.1 points a game. They lead the league, and are 16th in NCAA Division II, in field-goal percentage defense.
• Offensively, Lindenwood set season-highs against Northwest Missouri, the MIAA's top scoring defense, by making 64.1 percent of its field goals and 72.7 percent of its three-point attempts.
• Lindenwood has shot 80 percent or higher from the free-throw line in sixth of its 11 games this season. The Lions are shooting 77.4 percent on the season, which ranks third in the MIAA and 14th in NCAA Division II.
• Lindenwood has outrebounded its opponent in every game but one this season. The Lions are second in the MIAA with a +6.5 rebounding margin, and it has a +5.6 margin in conference contests.
• Lindenwood ranks 14th in the nation and first in the MIAA with 5.0 blocked shots a game.
Stanislas Heili is sixth nationally with 2.9 blocks a contest.

Cory Arentsen is averaging 26.0 points in conference games, the highest mark among MIAA players. Overall, he is third in the MIAA and 19th in the nation with 23.0 points a game.

Chandler Diekvoss is averaging 8.0 points a game in MIAA play, including 11.0 points a game in the final weekend of 2015. He is also tied for the team-high in MIAA games with 14 assists.

Zachary Biggs combined for a perfect 10-of-10 shooting from the field against Northwest Missouri. The pair is shooting a combined 70 percent for the season.
A Look At This Week's Opponents• Washburn is currently second in the MIAA with a 41.2 percent field-goal percentage defense, and ranks fifth by allowing 73.7 points a game.
• Cameron Wiggins leads the offense for the Ichabods with 14.6 points a game. He leads the MIAA by making 47.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
• Emporia State enters play this week ranked 16th in the nation by committing just 10.6 turnovers a game, and is 23rd in turnover margin.
• Four Hornets average double-figure points, and six average over eight points a game. Terrence Moore leads the team with 143 points, 31 assists, and 17 steals.
