The No. 3 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team opened its season on Saturday in Kansas City, Mo. with a RMAC victory over Rockhurst. The Lady Lions scored five times in the first four minutes of the game and cruised to a 20-0 victory.

Offensively,
Cassie Stucklen had a team-high six goals and seven points.
Melissa Menchella chipped in with five goals, and six other Lady Lions had at least one goal.
Lindsey Palmer and
Kara Wendell each had two assists.

Rachel Ortell started in goal and made four saves in over 45 minutes of action.
Delaney Solomon completed the shutout by playing the final 14:23.
Sophie Buelow and
Bailey Knapton each had a team-high five groundballs, and Knapton also led the squad with eight draw controls.

Lindenwood has its home opener on March 6 against Indiana of Pennsylvania.
