Series Notes- The Lindenwood women's hockey program hosts a two-game series against Penn State this weekend. Friday's 7 p.m. game is the team's annual "Pink the Rink" contest in which it raises money for SSM Breast Care. Saturday's game has its first faceoff at 3 p.m.
- This week's battle is between the two most improved teams in the CHA. Last year, the two programs combined to win just nine games, including six in CHA action. This year, Lindenwood and Penn State have already combined to win 22 games, including 13 in league play.
- Lindenwood enters play this week with an 8-16-1 overall record, and a 5-8-1 league mark. The Lady Lions are one game out of fourth place in the league standings.
- Penn State is currently 14-10-4 on the year, including an 8-4-2 CHA record. The Nittany Lions are in second place in the league, just half a game out of first.
- Earlier this season, Lindenwood and Penn State split a series in University Park, Pa. The Nittany Lions won the first game by a 3-0 score, and the Lady Lions took game two by a 2-1 margin. In the first game, Penn State scored all three of its goals in the final 30 minutes of action. In game two, Lindenwood limited the Nittany Lions to just 11 shots on goal, and
Alyssa West scored the game-winning goal at the 4:10 mark of the third period.
- Lindenwood leads the all-time series with Penn State by a 6-3-1 margin. The series is tied 2-2-0 in games played at the Lindenwood Ice Arena.
Lindenwood Notes- Lindenwood jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in game one of the RIT series, but the Tigers bounced back to tie it by early in the third period. The two teams then had a wild finish, with both teams scoring in the final 77 seconds of regulation, and RIT then winning in overtime.
- The Lady Lions bounced back to shut out the Tigers by a 1-0 margin in game two.
Lyndsay Kirkham had the only goal of the game just 23 seconds into the contest.

Nicole Hensley made 16 saves in game two of the series for her second career shutout. She now has two of the three shutouts in Lindenwood history, and is the first goalie at the school with multiple shutouts in a season.

Jordyn Constance had two goals and three points in game one of the RIT series. Both marks tied a season-high for a Lindenwood player in 2014-15.

Shara Jasper both recorded a +3 plus/minus for the RIT series, and
Lyndsay Kirkham was a +2. The rest of the team was a combined -8.

Jordyn Constance needs just one more goal this year to have double-figures for the season. Constance, who scored just five goals her first three years, will become the fourth Lady Lions to record 10 or more goals in a season.
Shara Jasper is also close to that mark with eight tallies.

Shara Jasper ranked in the top-10 in the CHA in the three main offensive categories. She is sixth with 22 points, fifth with 13 assists, and ninth with nine goals.

Nicole Hensley is approaching 3,000 saves for her career. She enters this week needing 45 more to reach that milestone. There are currently just 17 goalies in NCAA Division I history with over 3,000 saves.

Nicole Hensley is 6-3-1 against Penn State. She has made 281 saves and has a .930 save percentage agaisnt the Nittany Lions.
- Lindenwood has set program records for most NCAA Division I wins (8) and most home wins (5) in a season, and it has tied the school record for most overall wins (8).
- The Lady Lions have liked to score early in games this season. Lindenwood has eight goals in the first five minutes of contests, including four goals in the first minute. Lindenwood has scored the first goal of a contest in 13 of the team's 25 games.
- Lindenwood is 7-5-0 this year in the final game of a series. It is just 1-11-1 in the rest of its games. In the final game of a series, the Lady Lions are averaging 2.1 goals a game, compared to 1.2 goals in other games.
- Lindenwood will have its final regular season road trip on Feb. 13-14 when it travels to Syracuse.
