Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team continued the Eckerd Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon and just like day one the Lady Lions went 0-2. Lindenwood lost its first game of the day 6-4 to Palm Beach Atlantic and then fell to Eckerd 4-3.

In game one of the day Palm Beach Atlantic got off to a quick start scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. The Lady Lions cut into the lead with a run in the bottom of the first and one in the third. But Palm Beach Atlantic extended the lead in the sixth with a three spot.

Lindenwood outhit Palm Beach Atlantic 10-3 but could not overcome the early deficit. No Lady Lion had more than one hit in the game. Mallory Eitel and Alexis Theis both had a double and an RBI.

Kendall Ryndak started for the Lady Lions on the rubber and threw 6 1/3 giving up four earned runs.

To close out the day Lindenwood got off to a quick start against Eckerd. The Lady Lions scored two runs in the top of the first inning. Unfortunately, Eckerd came right back in the bottom of the first with two runs of its own.

Eckerd then scored single tallies in the second and the third inning to take a 4-2 lead. Lindenwood was able to bring across one more run but would fall just one run short. Rachel Overton and Alexandra Newcomb both had two hits to lead the team.

The Lady Lions have started the season losing its first four games of the season.
