Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lindenwood Lady Lions softball team closed out the Eckerd Tritons Spring Invitational with a pair of losses. The first game of the day was a loss to the Nova Southeastern Sharks 7-1 and then lost to the Florida Southern Mochs 6-1.
 
In the opening game of the day against Nova Southeastern things started off well for the Lady Lions. Alexis Theis drove in a run on a RBI single to give Lindenwood the lead. But unfortunately that was the last run the Lady Lions would bring across.
 
The Sharks tied the score in the third inning then scored six more runs between the fourth and fifth innings and rolled to the 7-1 victory.
 
The Lady Lions defense struggled in the loss committing three errors. Nova Southeastern outhit Lindenwood 9-6 in the contest.
 
 Theis led the team with a pair of hits in three at bats and drove in the team's only run. Kendall Ryndak started and went 4 2/3 innings giving up three runs on four hits.
 
Lindenwood closed out a long weekend with a contest against Florida Southern. The Mocs took an early lead on the Lady Lions when they put up a four spot in the third inning.
 
Lindenwood was able to cut into the lead in the third but again that was the only run the team could bring across. Florida Southern added two more runs in the game and beat the Lady Lion 6-1.
 
Mallory Eitel had a big game at the plate going three-for-four. Morgan Colvis started in the circle and went 3 1/3 innings surrendering three hits and striking out two.
 
Lindenwood has started the season 0-6 overall. The Lady Lions will be back on the road next weekend at the Arkansas at Monticello 8-State Classic.
