The Lindenwood swimming and diving programs added three athletes to their national rosters on Tuesday at the NCAA Division II Pre-Qualification Diving Meet in Indianapolis, Ind.
On the men's side, divers
David Cochran and
Schyler Hohenberger both advanced. For the women,
Carleen Wayne earned a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championships.
In the men's one-meter prelims, Cochrane came in seventh with a score of 265.40, while Hohenberger was 22nd with a mark of 231.20. Both divers had top-10 finishes in the three-meter event. Cochran was sevneth with a score of 283.80, and Hohenberger was tenth with a mark of 275.25.
In the women's competitions, Wayne finished 13th in the one-meter dive with a mark of 221.05, and she was 16th in the three-meter dive with a score of 235.70.
Shelby Werkema was also in the diving field but fell shy of qualifying after coming in 25th in the one-meter dive (174.75) and 27th in the three-meter dive (200.60).
The NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving National Championships will begin on Wednesday in Indianapolis, Ind. The Lindenwood men's national roster will have 13 players on it, while the women's will have nine.
