Box Score 2 The Lindenwood softball team split with the Pittsburg State Gorillas on Friday night in St. Charles. The Gorillas won the first game of the night 7-4 but the Lady Lions won the second game 5-3.
The Gorillas won the first game of the day after getting on the scoreboard in the early going and never looked back. Lindenwood tried to battle back but fell short and lost 7-4.
The second game of the night started with the Gorillas scoring the first run of the game in the top of the first. Lindenwood tied the score in the third inning with a single tally, then took the lead in the fourth with three runs. The Lady Lions added another run in the next inning then held on for the win.
Lindenwood runs its record to 7-31 overall and 2-16 in MIAA play. The Lady Lions will be back in action on Saturday afternoon against Missouri Southern.
