• The Lindenwood men's basketball team starts its post-Christmas schedule with four straight home games. The first two of those contests at Hyland Arena are non-conference games this Saturday and Monday. On New Year's Eve, the Lions have a noon showdown against metro rival Missouri-St. Louis. Next Monday, Lindenwood faces Cumberland at 7 p.m.

• Lindenwood will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak against Missouri-St. Louis and Cumberland. The Lions lost their final game before the break by a 70-59 score at Emporia State.

• Missouri-St. Louis has won its last three non-conference games, including a narrow six-point win over Missouri Western. In its most recent game, the Tritons defeated Trevecca Nazarene by a 72-64 score.

• Cumberland, a NAIA program out of Tennessee, is currently 7-6 on the season. The Phoenix lost their final game before Christmas at Dalton State by a 73-67 margin.

• Lindenwood trails the all-time series against Missouri-St. Louis by an 8-1 margin. Last season, the Tritons defeated the Lions by a 67-62 score in St. Louis. Lindenwood and Cumberland have never faced each other before in men's basketball.

Lindenwood Notes

Dominique Dobbs leads NCAA Division II in double-doubles with eight, which is tied with one other person. Only four players in all levels of NCAA basketball have more than eight in 2016-17.

• Lindenwood is 17th nationally with just 10.9 turnovers a game. It has committed more than 12 turnovers in only two contests.

• The Lions also rank in the top-50 nationally in free-throw percentage. Lindenwood is making 75.5 percent of its shots this season.
Brenon Larson-Gulsvig is 48th individually with a .884 free-throw percentage.

Chandler Diekvoss is tenth in the MIAA in scoring and ninth in rebounds. He is one of three players to rank in the top-10 in both categories.

• Lindenwood has won or tied the rebounding battle in 10 of its 14 games this season. The Lions are 9-1 in those contests.
Dominique Dobbs is second in the MIAA and 49th in the nation with 9.5 rebounds a contest.

A Look At The Tritons/Phoenix
• Missouri-St. Louis is 31st at the NCAA Division II level by allowing just 67.1 points a game. It has held eight of 12 opponents under 70 points, and is 7-1 in those games.

• Two Tritons are averaging double-figure points, as Steven Davis putting up 10.9 points a contest, and Hunter Reine is averaging 10.8 points a game. Reine is also the leading rebounder with 8.4 boards a contest.

• Cumberland has played two exhibition games this season against NCAA programs, falling 95-64 to UT-Martin and losing 82-77 to North Alabama.
