The synchronized skating team finished eighth at the Dr. Porter Classic December 2-4 at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The University of Wisconsin – Madison was the winner of the event, followed by Adrian College in second, Grand Valley State in third, and Miami University in fourth.

Head coach Chelsea Wipfler assessed the results for the Lady Lions.

"We didn't finish where we expected, but had a great skate," she said.  "This just gives us motivation to come back from winter break ready to work even harder to improve our individual skating skills and program for our next competition."

That next competition is a home event.  The ISI Winter Blast is scheduled for January 14 at the Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Missouri.
