Saturday's Game At A Glance• The top two teams in the MIAA standings will meet on Saturday in Maryville, Mo. when No. 24 Northwest Missouri hosts Lindenwood in a 3:30 p.m. contest. The Bearcats currently have a two-game lead in the standings with six games remaining in the regular season.
• The Lions are looking to bounce back after falling to Missouri Western on Thursday evening. With that setback, Lindenwood is now 15-7 overall and 11-5 in conference play.
• Northwest Missouri is the hottest team in the MIAA by winning six straight contests, including a win over Lincoln on Thursday night. The Bearcars are 16-5 on the season and 13-3 in the MIAA.
• The contest will match the top two defensive teams in the MIAA. Lindenwood is first allowing 65.0 points a game, while Northwest Missouri is second by allowing 66.3 points a contest.
• Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series with Lindenwood by an 8-1 margin, including a 5-1 record since the Lions joined the MIAA, and a 6-0 mark in games played in Maryville. Lindenwood picked up its only win in the series earlier this year in St. Charles with a 68-52 win over the Bearcats. The Lions held Northwest Missouri to just 33.9 percent shooting from the field.
Lindenwood Notes• Lindenwood has 11 MIAA wins this season, one away from its school record of 12. The Lions won 12 conference contests in their inaugural season in 2012-13, and also hit that mark in the 2014-15 season.
• Lindenwood leads the MIAA in scoring defense (65.0), field-goal percentage defense (.394), and blocks (5.4). It is ninth in NCAA Division II in scoring defense, tenth in field-goal percentage defense, and seventh in blocks.
• Prior to the Missouri Western game, Lindenwood's defense had held 14 straight opponents to 70 points or less. Eighteen of its 22 opponents this season have not surpassed that mark.
• Lindenwood is 10-2 this season when scoring 70 or more points, including a 6-1 mark in MIAA games.
• The Lions tied a school record against Central Oklahoma by blocking 11 shots. Lindenwood also blocked 11 shots earlier this year against Northwest Missouri.
• Lindenwood's shooting numbers are nearly the same at home and on the road this year. The Lions are shooting 46.7 percent at home, compared to a 46.1 percent mark away from Hyland Arena.

Cory Arentsen was named the MIAA Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 26.0 points a game and shooting over 50 percent from the field against Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma.

Cory Arentsen has scored over 20 points in five of the last six games, and he has hit that mark in 15 of 22 games in 2015-16.
• Four different Lions have recorded double-figure rebounds in a game this season, and individuals have 16 games with 10 or more rebounds.
Stanislas Heili leads the squad with nine double-figure rebounding games.

Brad Newman is averaging 18.3 points a game over the last three games. Among his points is making 23-of-26 (88%) shots from the free-throw line.

Stanislas Heili set Lindenwood's single-season blocking record last week against Northeastern State and now has 59 on the year. He has blocked at least one shot in every game this year.
• Lindenwood is ranked fourth in the region this week according to the D2SIDA poll. The official NCAA regional polls, which decides the NCAA Tournament field, will begin in mid-February.
A Look At Northwest Missouri• Northwest Missouri has won 10 out of its 11 games since Christmas break, and has a winning margin of victory of 11.9 points in those 10 victories.
• Justin Pitts ranks in the top five in the MIAA by averaging 20.9 points, 4.8 assists, and 1.6 steals a game.
• Northwest Missouri is averaging eight three-pointers a game, and three Bearcats in Conner Crooker, Justin Pitts, and Zach Schneider are shooting over 40 percent from three-point range.
• Northwest Missouri is fourth in the MIAA in rebounding margin. Its top rebounder is Chris-Ebou Ndow who is averaging 6.1 rebounds a game, followed by D'Vante Mosby with 5.8 boards a contest.
