Tuesday's Game At A Glance• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will be the ninth seed in this week's MIAA Tournament. The Lions will travel to Pittsburg, Kan. on Tuesday to take on eighth-seed Pittsburg State at 7 p.m. The winner of the game will advance to Kansas City where it will face MIAA Champion Northwest Missouri on Friday.
• Lindenwood finished tied for fifth in the MIAA with an 11-11 conference record, and it finishes the regular season with a 15-13 overall record. Last time out, the Lions fell to Lincoln in overtime by a 69-67 score.
• Pittsburg State also finished the conference season with an 11-11 mark, and it is currently 16-12 overall. The Gorillas had a four-game winning streak snapped last Saturday with an 86-82 loss at Missouri Southern.
• Lindenwood fell earlier this season to Pittsburg State by a 70-66 score in St. Charles, Mo. The Lions led by double-digits in the first half and had a 34-29 lead at halftime. The Gorillas held Lindenwood without a point though for the first seven minutes of the second half, and Pittsburg State led the rest of the game.
• Pittsburg State has a 4-2 lead in the all-time series against Lindenwood. The Lions are 1-1 all-time in games played in Pittsburg, Kan.
Lindenwood Notes• Lindenwood has made the MIAA Tournament in each season it has been eligible, but it is still looking for its first tournament win. Two years ago, the Lions lost in the first round to Nebraska-Kearney. Last season, the Lions fell to Pittsburg State in the quarterfinals.
• Lindenwood leads the MIAA in scoring defense (65.5), field-goal percentage defense (.407), and blocks (5.00). It is eighth in NCAA Division II in scoring defense, 22nd in field-goal percentage defense, and 11th in blocks.
• Lindenwood also ranks in the top-25 nationally for fewest fouls (12th). It is 32nd in free-throw percentage and 33rd in rebounding margin.
• Lindenwood is 0-9 this season when it makes fewer free throws or the same amount of free throws as its opponents. The Lions are 15-4 when they make more free throws.
• Seventy has been the magic number for Lindenwood. It is 10-3 when scoring 70 or more points, and 5-10 when scoring under that mark. Defensively, the team is 13-8 when allowing under 70 points, and 2-5 when allowing over that mark.

Cory Arentsen was named the co-MIAA Player of the Week on Monday, his fourth weekly award of the season. He averaged 37.5 points in two games, and shot 56 percent from the field. He made seven three pointers and was 12-of-13 from the line. Arentsen also added 11 rebounds and eight assists.

Cory Arentsen is currently averaging 23.7 points a game, which would be the highest total in school history. The current Lindenwood single-season record is 23.3 set by Tom Wallace in 1979-80.

Stanislas Heili has already broken the school's single-season blocking record. He is also moving up the school's rebounding list, as his 224 rebounds this season is currently eighth.

A Look At Pittsburg State• Pittsburg State is fourth in the MIAA with 77.6 points a game. It is one of the top shooting teams, ranking second in field-goal percentage, fourth in three-point percentage, and third in free-throw percentage.
• Javis Flynn leads the MIAA with 4.9 assists a game, and is sixth with a 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. He has collected 136 assists on the season.
• The trio of Trey Starks, Josiah Gustafson, and Dakota Jones are all averaging double-figure points. They have combined for over 40 points a game, and a total of 132 made three-pointers.
• Josiah Gustafson leads the team with 5.1 rebounds a game and is also the top free-throw shooter, with a 88.5 percent mark.
