The men's and women's swimming teams concluded the two-day dual meet against Missouri-St. Louis on Monday in St. Louis, Mo. The men tallied 124 team points to win 228-153 over the course of both days, while the women held onto win, 222-147.
Kamila Kunka and
Ewa Dymarek finished first and second, respectively, in the 400 IM. Kunka also won the 500 free with a time of 5:20.51, while Dymarek got in the win column with a victory in the 200 breast.
Lena Kirchner won the 1000 free on Monday by over 30 seconds before also being victorious in the 200 fly.
Simone de Rijcke followed up the day-one win in the 200 free by
Erin Sutton with a victory of her own, finishing in 1:58.67.de Rijcke also won the 100 free, earning another nine points for the team.
Alecia McGillivray continued the team success with a win in the 200 back.
For the men,
Sylwester Borowicz-Skoneczny and Chris Holmes claimed the top two spots, respectively, in the 500 and 1000 free.
Blake Logan won the 200 free with a time of 1:46.48 before also winning the 200 back.
Cristian Vasquez and
Kian Quigley placed first and second, respectively, in the 200 fly while
Felix Eigel and Haoning Chen followed up with the top two spots in the 100 free. Quigley added a win in the dual with a victory in the 100 IM, while Chen did the same in the 200 breast.
Both teams will host Washington University in Edwardsville, Ill. on Friday.
