Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team opens the 2017 calendar year with a two-game non-conference home series versus the nations top-ranked team, the Wisconsin Badgers. The series will be played on January 6-7 at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening and 3:00 p.m. the following afternoon.
- Lindenwood has earned points in five-consecutive series dating back to Nov. 11-12 at Penn State. The Lady Lions are 4-4-2 over the 10-game stretch, including a 2-3-1 mark from within the CHA.
- Lindenwood and Wisconsin have faced each other 10 times dating back to the start of the 2011 season, with Wisconsin leading the all-time series, 10-0-0. The Badgers won both games of a two-game series last season in Madison, Wis. by scores of 5-1 and 4-0.
- Wisconsin enters the weekend ranked as the No. 1 team in the NCAA and has a 17-2-1 record, including a 13-2-1 mark from within the WCHA. Sarah Nurse leads the team in scoring with 25 points. Nurse has scored a team-leading 15 goals, while teammate Emily Clark has dished out a team-high 14 assists. Ann-Renee Desbiens leads the nation in goals against average at 0.75, while ranking second in the NCAA in save percentage with a mark of .957. Desbiens also leads the country with eight shutouts.

- Freshman netminder
Morgan Skinner earned the first win of her career on Dec. 17 versus No. 10 ranked North Dakota. Skinner turned in 36 saves, including 16 during the final frame.
- The win over No. 10 North Dakota was the fourth win over a top-10 team in Lindenwood's program history, and the first since defeating No. 10 Northeastern in Boston, Mass. on Oct. 10, 2015.
- Defender
Carrie Atkinson scored her first goal of the season in the first period against North Dakota on Dec. 17. Atkinson is tied for the team-lead with three points among defenders.
-Â Lindenwood improved its record to 3-0-0 when leading after two periods this season. The Lady Lions are 15-2-1 dating back to the start of the 2014-15 season when holding the lead after two periods.

Kirsten Martin tallied the first game-winning goal of her career in the win over North Dakota. Martin is tied for the team lead with three goals.

Cierra Paisley dished out her team-leading seventh assist against North Dakota. Paisley leads Lindenwood with nine points.

Carla Goodwin recorded a two-point performance on Dec. 17 against North Dakota. It was Goodwin's team-leading third multi-point game of the season.

Courtney Ganske scored her second goal of the season in the victory over North Dakota on Dec. 17 while on the power play.
- Ganske's power-play goal was Lindenwood's seventh of the season, and raised its conversion percentage to 12.7 percent.
