GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood football team (3-6) lost 27-14 to Fort Hays State (7-2) on Saturday afternoon in Hays, Kan. Lindenwood was just 2-for-12 on third downs and allowed 389 passing yards to the Tigers.
Fort Hays needed just 1:25 to take a 7-0 lead to open the game after its first drive started at the Lindenwood 43 yard line. Later in the quarter,
Cade Brister led the Lions on a four-play 52-yard drive that was capped off with an 18-yard touchdown pass to
Mason Bendigo to tie the game at 7-7. Fort Hays scored 13-straight points to take a 20-7 lead at the end of the first half.
Lindenwood answered to start the second half as the Lions went 65 yards on eight plays make it a 20-14 game after a
Najee Jackson touchdown grab. The Tigers scored late in the third quarter to again take a two-score lead, and neither team scored in the final quarter as the game ended in a 27-14 win for Fort Hays.
