Things to Know:
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team continues its early-season schedule with two games from Jason Gym in Jefferson City, Mo. on Nov. 16-17. The Lions will take on LeMoyne-Owen on Friday at 5:00 p.m., before facing Lane on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
• Lindenwood has never faced LeMoyne-Owen or Lane in its program history.Â
• Lindenwood enters the weekend with a 2-3 record, and is coming off of back-to-back losses on Nov. 9-10 in Mankato, Minn. against the top two teams from the Preseason NSIC Coaches' Poll.
• The Lions were narrowly edged on Nov. 9 by Minnesota State, dropping the road contest 88-85. Lindenwood had a three-point attempt at the buzzer, but were unable to connect on the game-tying bucket.
• Despite its 2-3 record to begin the season, Lindenwood has lost two games by just three points, and all three games were decided by single-digits.
Lindenwood Notes:
•
Chandler Diekvoss had a big weekend in Minnesota, averaging 25.0 points and 11.5 rebounds over the two-game stretch.
• Diekvoss had the best game of his career on Nov. 10 against No. 18 St. Cloud State, totaling 29 points and 16 rebounds. Diekvoss' performance matched his previous career-highs against an NCAA opponent in both categories.
• Diekvoss connected on 18-of-32 field goal attempts (56.3 percent), and raised his scoring average to 16.4 points per game for the season.
•
Brad Newman is tied with Diekvoss for the team-lead in points per game at 16.4. Newman scored in double-figures in each of Lindenwood's two games in Mankato, Minn., and has now scored at least 10 points in 11 straight games.
• Newman had a season-high 28 points (11-25 FG, 3-7 3FG) against Minnesota State on Nov. 9., making him the team's leading-scorer in a game for the second time this season.
• Through its first five games this season, Lindenwood has had four different leading scorers. Newman has paced the Lions in scoring a team-high two times this season, while Diekvoss,
Drew Moore, and
Chris King have all led in scoring once.
• King had his third game of the season with double-digit points on Nov. 9 at Minnesota State. King finished the game with 13 points, including three made shots from three-point range.

Diego Womack made the first start of his Lindenwood career against No. 18 St. Cloud State on Nov. 10, scoring 11 points (5-10 FG) and grabbing seven boards.

Adam Pohlman has led Lindenwood in assists in each game this season, after dishing out team-high totals in both games this past weekend. Pohlman had five assists against Minnesota State, before dishing out three assists against No. 18 St. Cloud State.
• Pohlman led Lindenwood in rebounding for the second time this season, collecting nine rebounds in the game against Minnesota State. Pohlman is currently averaging 5.2 rebounds per game.
• Lindenwood has finished with a higher shooting percentage than its opponent in four-of-five games this season. The Lions are currently shooting 44.7 percent from the field this season, while holding opponents to a 43.0 shooting percentage.
• Lindenwood will begin a two-game homestand with its home opener against Missouri Baptist on Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m. The Lions will then play host to Culver-Stockton at 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 23.
Scouting the Competition:
• LeMoyne-Owen and Lane are each members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).Â
• LeMoyne-Owen enters the weekend with a 1-1 record to begin the 2018-19 campaign. The Magicians played their first two games as part of the GSC/SIAC Challenge in Rome, Ga. on Nov. 9-10.
• On Nov. 9, LeMoyne-Owen defeated Shorter by a final score of 59-55. The following day, the Magicians were defeated 75-70 by Union College.Â
• Jaquan Lawrence currently leads Le-Moyne-Owen in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per game (7-12 FG).
• LeMoyne-Owen finished the 2017-18 season with a 9-18 record, including a 5-14 mark from within the SIAC.
• Lane is yet to play a game this season, but finished last season with a 14-13 record. The Dragons tied for the SIAC West regular season title in 2017-18, with an 11-8 record from inside the conference.
• Lane's top returning scorer from last season is Terrace Holt. Holt averaged 12.5 points per game in 2017-18.
